The relationship between corporate governance mechanisms and financial performance: The case of listed industrial companies in Oman

The purpose of the study is to examine impact corporate governance mechanisms on financial performance listed industrial companies in Oman. As main research method, panel data regression analysis was used analyze from 36 Omani companies, Muscat Stock Exchange for period 2017–2021. Three models were developed using three dependent variables (Return Assets, Return Equity, Sales), seven independent (Board Size, Independent and Non-executive Board Members, Meeting, Chief Executive Officer, Dummy variable Change, Secretary Board, Internal Auditor), two control (Leverage, Size company). According results, a negative influence presence Assets indicator at 10% 5% significance level found; moreover, there positive Leverage company 1% Assets. Although, none has significant Equity indicator. Sales significantly affected only by variables, i.e., level. results obtained indicate imperfection implemented field ensuring efficiency.
